The Heritage Community Band Welcomes The Flamingo Brass for our July 15 Concert!!

Tomorrow, July 15 at 7:30pm, the Heritage Community Band will have its third outdoor concert of the Staunton season. For this concert the band will host the very entertaining Flamingo Brass a brass quintet from SIUE. The Flamingo Brass will play both Classical and Pop arrangements as well as a great piece for band and brass quintet, arranged and recorded by the world famous Canadian Brass. In addition, the Heritage band will play exciting music including the Olympic Fanfare by John Williams. Don’t miss this concert, which will be at the bandstand behind the Staunton Public Library.

Also, band will have our annual special Children’s Concert on July 22 and our final season concert on July 29. All concerts are free to attend and for the whole family. Bring blankets or lawn chairs and feel free to bring a picnic supper.


The band will also perform at the Ice Cream Social at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mount Olive on Sunday, July 18 at 6 PM.

Come and see us at the old Main Street bandstand in Mt. Olive, Il tonight at 7:00 pm. We will feature our lead Euphonist (baritone player) John Fassero playing Spanish Dance #5 by Enrique Granados. Also, we’ll be featuring a guest announcer tonight, Keith Baker.

Don’t forget about our first Mt. Olive concert of 2021. Concert starts at 7:00 pm this evening (June 3, 2021) at Mt Olive—Main St. Park at the round bandstand. Please help get the word out.

Band members: Please arrive by 6:30 and if you agreed to put word out on social media, please don’t forget. Remind parents of youngsters that the Mt Olive city park on Main Street has a brand new playground where parents can watch their kids play and still enjoy the free concert!
